The most photographed mountain in the World. Therefore Switzerland’s most famous mountain and the highest place to visit in Switzerland, is possibly this pyramid-shaped giant. The 4,478-meter-high Matterhorn in Zermatt attracts mountaineers from all around the world to take over its rise–some of them even attempt to climb it.
Ski cable cars also carry skiers and snow boarders to surrounding mountains in the winter and walkers in the summer, via the mountain station in Zermatt (the highest alpine cable car station).
